An open screening of the feature film “Magtymguly Fragi”, a joint production of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, will be held on the sidelines of the 10th Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan.
The film screening program also includes documentaries and the family comedy “Trial by the village,” according to the MFGS website.
The 10th Caspian Media Forum will be held on August 22. It is expected that representatives of government bodies, journalists, bloggers, experts, scientists and heads of public organizations from the countries of the region will take part in it. The main theme of the forum is "The History of the Caspian: from the Past to the Future".
Those gathered will discuss the relationship between historical events and new geopolitical realities, current problems and opportunities that are opening up for Russia and friendly countries, as well as the role of media in strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding between the Caspian countries.
The forum will include a ceremony to present awards to the winners of the annual international journalism competition “The Caspian Sea without Borders”.
