The Wrestling Federation of Turkmenistan has approved the composition of the national teams in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling that will take part in the World Championship among athletes under 20. The competition will be held from August 15 to 26, 2025 in the city of Samokov (Bulgaria).
The freestyle wrestling team includes five athletes who will compete from August 15 to 22. The team will be represented by: Watan Annaorazov (74 kg, candidate for master of sports), Alp Arslan Begenjov (79 kg, master of sports of international class), Dovletgeldi Myradov (86 kg, master of sports) and Orazmuhammed Hojalyev (92 kg, 1st category).
The Greco-Roman wrestling team includes four wrestlers who will compete from August 19 to 26: Nuryagdy Dovranov (55 kg, candidate for master of sports), Husnidin Ulugbekov (60 kg, 1st category), as well as coaches and team leaders Shageldy Annayev and Magtymguly Zamanmyradov (international category judge).
The reserve team includes Kabe Matjanov (57 kg, 1st category) and Kemal Kakabayev (63 kg, candidate for master of sports).
The teams will be accompanied by coaches Mekan Orazov and Batyr Orazgylyjov, as well as a representative of the federation Maksatmyrat Ilyasov. The head of the Wrestling Federation of Turkmenistan Maksat Bayramov has been appointed the head of the delegation.
