Today, on the sidelines of LLDC 3, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ivana Zivkovic.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNDP, including issues of sustainable development, digital transformation, economic sustainability, inclusive growth and resilience to climate change.
Particular attention was paid to the role of UNDP in supporting national efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ivana Zivkovic emphasized UNDP's commitment to continuing partnerships and implementing joint initiatives aimed at sustainable development of regions, and also wished the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) a successful outcome, the source notes.
