A delegation of Turkmen youth led by Velmurad Ovezov, head of the cultural department of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, held meetings with the leadership of Shanxi Province and representatives of the China-Central Asia format during a visit to China.

Negotiations with Shanxi Province

During the meeting with the Chairman of the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries of Shanxi Province, Xing Shanping, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of culture, education, sports and agriculture.

Xing Shanping noted the willingness to develop humanitarian exchanges and invited Turkmen teachers to exchange experiences.

“We intend to expand cooperation in the fields of art, education and agriculture,” she emphasized.

The head of the Turkmen delegation, Ovezov, thanked for the warm welcome and expressed the readiness of the youth organization of Turkmenistan to help strengthen ties between the two countries.

Meeting with the Secretary General of the China-Central Asia format

Earlier, the delegation was received by the Secretary General of the China-Central Asia format Sun Weidong. He shared his impressions of his diplomatic work in Ashgabat, noting that he fondly recalls the four years he spent in Turkmenistan.

"I really want to visit your country again and hope to have the opportunity to do so soon," Sun Weidong said. He also spoke about the results of the recent conference in Astana and preparations for the third summit of the format, emphasizing the special importance of Turkmen-Chinese relations.
