GIZ in Turkmenistan announced new vacancy

The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Ashgabat has announced a vacancy for a full-time assistant for the project "EU for Green Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Action on Climate Change" for 2024-2028.


The main tasks of the assistant are:


  1. Office management;
  2. Project technical support;
  3. Organizational, logistical and administrative tasks;
  4. Other duties/additional tasks.

Required qualifications, competencies and experience:


Higher education (BSc/BA) in social sciences and humanities, economics, law, international relations or similar field. Professional experience At least 2 years of general professional experience; experience in organizational support of projects; experience in processing and formatting documentation; experience in interaction with external clients and/or government agencies is an advantage; experience in written and oral translation is an advantage; experience in working with international programs is an advantage.


Other knowledge, additional competencies:


  • Ability to express your thoughts well both orally and in writing in English, Turkmen and Russian; competent, target audience-oriented style; knowledge of German will be an advantage;
  • Excellent practical skills in working with ICT technologies (relevant software, telephone, email, Internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office);
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse community;
  • Ability to easily adapt to new situations and work under stress;
  • Good self-organization skills and organizational abilities.
