Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree dismissing Mikhail Gusman from the post of First Deputy Director General of TASS, the agency’s website reports.
Mikhail Gusman has worked in the agency's structures for about 30 years. The 75-year-old journalist has been the author and host of the television series "Formula of Power" since 2000. He was awarded the titles of Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation (2001) and Honored Journalist of the Russian Federation (2018).
Mikhail Gusman was thanked for his many years of work at the agency by TASS Director General Andrei Kondrashov:
"On behalf of the entire agency team, I express my deep gratitude to Mikhail Solomonovich for all 30 years of his tireless work at TASS. More than 50 partnership agreements with the main agencies of the world's countries, about 20 more agreements prepared for signing, hundreds of international and all-Russian TASS events and thousands of implemented creative ideas - all of this is the enormous personal contribution of Mikhail Gusman. We wish the veteran of our agency new projects and new talented teams," said Kondrashov.
TASS is the leading state news agency of Russia. It was founded in 1904, and from 1925 to 1992 it was called TASS (Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union).
Today, TASS is one of the world's largest news agencies, with a correspondent network in more than 60 countries, including Turkmenistan.
