On July 24, a meeting between the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Nazar Agahanov and the Minister of Commerce, Industry, Electronics and Information Technology of India Jitin Prasad took place in Delhi, as reported on the social network page of Minister Prasad.
The Indian side congratulated Minister Agahanov on his recent appointment and welcomed his first official visit to India. During the talks, the sides discussed ways to deepen trade ties, strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food security, develop technology partnerships, cooperate in the field of professional skills and expand people-to-people exchanges between Turkmenistan and India.
On the same day, Minister Agahanov held a separate meeting with representatives of the Indian business community at Vanijya Bhavan. From the Indian side, Suvidh Shah, Deputy Director General of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), and Mohit Yadav, Joint Secretary of the Commerce Department, participated in the talks.
During the meeting, Minister Agahanov discussed with his Indian colleagues the prospects for strengthening trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and India. Particular attention was paid to issues of expanding opportunities for exporters and enterprises of both countries.

The talks were held within the framework of a high-level dialogue aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the trade sphere between Turkmenistan and India.
