The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan held a scientific and practical conference “State Program “Saglyk” (“Health”) in Action”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the program.

An exhibition was also organized here, where, along with decorative and applied art items, medical equipment and a wide range of medicinal products from plants growing in the country were presented, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Issues related to the successful implementation of tasks arising from the State Program "Saglyk", as well as the improvement of the work of medical institutions, the improvement of the quality and level of medical services provided to the population, are constantly in the center of attention of the state. This opens up broad opportunities for strengthening the material and technical base of the structures of the health care system and activating cooperation in this area.

As was emphasized by the conference participants, the state is taking comprehensive measures to establish the principles of a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention throughout the country, including the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. Such large-scale work, carried out with the direct assistance of the country's leadership, is yielding positive results.

During the conference, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, gifts were presented to doctors and specialists who have worked tirelessly in the healthcare sector for many years and earned honor and respect. The results of the "Best Hospital" competition held throughout the country were also summarized.

Conferences dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the State Program of the President of Turkmenistan "Saglyk" were held throughout the country. Thematic events were also held in the health centers of the capital, the city of Arkadag and the velayats.

Let us remind that the State Program “Saglyk” came into effect in 1995, and its new version was adopted in 2015.
