Turkmenabat Silk Production Association produced about 33,5 tons of raw silk in six months, which means that the production plan was fulfilled by 119,3%.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, since the beginning of the year the enterprise has also produced 4 million 940 thousand square meters of cotton fabric and 60 thousand square meters of silk fabric.
The fulfillment of the enterprise plan for the first six months of the current year in monetary terms by almost 115% indicates good organization of work and the creation of favorable working conditions.
This large enterprise processes not only the products of Lebap velayat silkworm breeders, but also the harvest of cocoons prepared by Mary and Dashoguz velayats silkworm breeders. The enterprise employs about 900 specialists and workers.
The production of the finest silk carpets, which are woven according to individual orders, has also been established here.
Today, the Turkmenabat Silk Production Association, which is under the jurisdiction of the State Concern "Türkmenpagta", is one of the largest and oldest enterprises of this profile in the country. It was built in 1931. The modernization of the enterprise ensures an increase in production efficiency.
