President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Mammethan Chakyev to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for the transport and communications complex with a probationary period of six months. The corresponding order was signed during an extended government meeting, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
M. Chakyev assured that he will apply all his knowledge and experience to effectively work in the high position entrusted to him by the head of state.
The meeting was devoted to summing up the government's work for the first half of 2025.
Earlier, the President of Turkmenistan abolished the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, creating new ministries and services on its basis.
Since March 2022, Chakyev has held the position of Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, overseeing the country's transport and communications complex.
