Turkmen athletes won seven medals at the Asian Judo Cup among cadets and juniors that ended in Almaty. Turkmen judokas won three silver and four bronze medals.
According to the online newspaper "Golden Age", in the junior competitions, the silver medalists were Medine Oraznyyazova (up to 57 kg), Agajan Ayhanov (up to 81 kg) and Baymyrat Majanov (up to 100 kg). Bronze medals were won by Nuriya Pardaeva and Kurbanai Kurbanova (both in the weight category up to 48 kg), as well as Oguljan Ruslanova (up to 70 kg).
In the cadet tournament, Kakilik Deryayeva won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 48 kg.

The training of the women's national judo team of Turkmenistan is carried out under the guidance of coaches Gulbadam Babamuratova and Tatyana Vidyasova. The men's team is improving its sports skills under the guidance of coach Ikhlas Setdarov.
The Asian Judo Cup brought together 785 athletes from 11 countries: Azerbaijan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mongolia, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The Turkmenistan team was represented by 31 judokas.
