Yesterday in Ashgabat, at the "Yyldyz" hotel, the US Embassy in Turkmenistan held a reception to celebrate the 249th anniversary of the independence of the United States of America.
The event's guest of honor was the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova.
In her remarks, U.S. Ambassador Elizabeth Rood noted that the strong relationship between the United States and Turkmenistan continues to grow.

"As Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized to Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov last week, the United States deeply respects Turkmenistan's sovereignty and independence. Our policy of permanent positive neutrality serves as a guiding principle in all of our common affairs and efforts and allows Turkmenistan to play a positive role in regional cooperation and stability.“Through our bilateral cooperation, including in the C5+1 format, we deepen our economic, educational and cultural ties, and work together to strengthen border security, respond to and manage natural disasters, and address other regional and global challenges,” the ambassador said.
In turn, Dunyagozel Gulmanova noted in her congratulatory speech that Turkmen-American cooperation is reaching a qualitatively new level. This applies to all areas of interaction. The partnership between the two states within the framework of international organizations, in particular the UN, is highly effective.
"We express our gratitude to the United States for its continued support and co-authorship of initiatives aimed at strengthening universal values proposed by Turkmenistan," the speaker of the Turkmen Parliament emphasized.
Various locations for entertainment and relaxation, photo zones, and traditional American cuisine were organized for the event guests.
During the festive evening, the American country-rock band and artist Jessica Lynn performed fiery hits, and they were supported by Turkmen singers.

Let us remind you that Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital will be able to attend concerts of the American country-rock band and Jessica Lynn on July 5 and 6.
