The Turkmenistan national wrestling team finished its performance at the Asian Youth (under 23) and Junior (under 17) Championships with five medals. The competitions were held in Vung Tau (Vietnam).
In the under-23 category, freestyle wrestlers brought the team one silver and two bronze medals. Alp Arslan Begenjov won the silver medal in the under-79 kg weight category. Vatan Annaorazov (under-74 kg) and Soltan Sanjar Begenjov (under-86 kg) added bronze medals to the team's collection.
In Greco-Roman wrestling among athletes under 23 years old, Didar Orazberdyev won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 72 kg.
Aslan Agadayev added a fifth medal to the national team’s collection by winning bronze in the Greco-Roman wrestling competition among athletes under 17 years of age.
