According to the South China Morning Post, the patient from Anhui Province accidentally swallowed the 17-centimeter object at age 12, but due to fear and subsequent oblivion, never sought help.

A pensioner named Yan was admitted to hospital complaining of abdominal pain, where doctors discovered a brush in his small intestine. Thanks to endoscopy, it was removed in 80 minutes.
