Doctors in China have removed a 17-centimeter toothbrush that was stuck in a 52-year-old man's intestines

Doctors in China have performed a unique operation to remove a toothbrush that had been in the body of a 64-year-old man for more than half a century. According to the South China Morning Post, the patient from Anhui Province accidentally swallowed the 17-centimeter object at age 12, but due to fear and subsequent oblivion, never sought help.

A pensioner named Yan was admitted to hospital complaining of abdominal pain, where doctors discovered a brush in his small intestine. Thanks to endoscopy, it was removed in 80 minutes. Experts note that the man was incredibly lucky - the foreign body was fixed in a bend in the intestine and did not damage the internal organs for decades.
