1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Mohammed Jaloud, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit. During the conversation, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation, as well as further promotion of weightlifting in the country.
2. The President of Turkmenistan signed an Order on sending an official delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Annamammedov to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The visit, scheduled for May 21-23, is aimed at exchanging experience in the field of urban development.
3. The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Atahalliyev and velayat governors, during which current issues in the agricultural sector and preparations for the upcoming grain harvest were discussed.
4. Within the framework of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Iran, a meeting was held in Tehran between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for expanding cooperation in key areas.
5. Malaysia and Georgia celebrated the Day of the Constitution and the National Flag of Turkmenistan. The state symbols of Turkmenistan appeared on Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur. Images of the Turkmen flag and the logo of 2025 were placed on the central square of the Malaysian capital in honor of the national holiday.
6. Georgia also joined the celebrations – on May 18, the Tbilisi TV Tower was illuminated in the colors of the Turkmen flag.

Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Vepa Hajiyev took part in the first audience of the new head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, with the diplomatic corps.
