Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation E.M. Aydogdyev took part in a meeting of the leadership of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" with ambassadors of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The meeting was held in the Reception House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation under the leadership of the Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, as reported on the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation M.Sh.Khusnullin and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V.Lavrov were present as guests of honor.
The main topic of the event was informing the meeting participants about the results of the Group's activities in 2024 and work plans for 2025.
The issues of preparation for the upcoming XVI International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2025" were discussed.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that Russia views cooperation with OIC member countries as one of the most important areas of its foreign policy, the source notes.
