President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the potential of cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union, defining the economy, investment, energy, transport, and trade as priority areas of cooperation in this format. In his speech, the head of state noted that the technological and methodological assistance of the European Union can positively influence the solution of water problems in Central Asia. "Turkmenistan's position on water policy issues in the region is known. They should be resolved on the basis of three key principles: compliance with international law; mutual consideration of interests; involvement of international organizations, and primarily the UN," the head of Turkmenistan said.
5. A campaign to attract applicants is starting in Turkmenistan. Starting in mid-April, the country's universities will hold Open Days for all those wishing to enroll in the 2025-2026 academic year. The Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management was one of the first to announce Open Days. The meeting with potential applicants will take place on April 15 and 16 at 15:00. On April 14 and 19, from 14:00 to 19:00, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports will hold Open Days. Future applicants will be able to meet with representatives of faculties, departments and receive qualified advice on all matters of admission.
6. The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and UNICEF signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of the joint program "Green School". This initiative aims to transform participating schools into sustainable, energy-efficient learning environments. This innovative program is the first of its kind in Central Asia and will enable students and teachers to address climate issues by promoting creativity, environmental participation and sustainable development.
