National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting in the city of Arkadag dedicated to preparations for the celebration of the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, TDH reports.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Administrative Issues of the Foundation Rejep Bazarov and the Vice President for Medical Activities Oguljahan Atabayeva.

The Vice Presidents of the Foundation presented reports on the events planned for the anniversary, including a scientific and practical conference, an exhibition and meetings with the participation of representatives of specialized structures. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to develop and approve a special Program of Events in connection with the 4th anniversary of the Foundation.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people especially noted the importance of cooperation with relevant structures and international organizations, primarily with the UN Children's Fund. He focused on the need for a responsible approach to the organizational level of all planned activities and emphasized the importance of improving legislation in the field of protecting children’s rights and ensuring their harmonious development in accordance with modern requirements.

During the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to discuss with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the country the issue of improving the activities of the fund, including the possibility of creating new areas related to the protection of children’s health at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

Summarizing the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that the activities of the Charitable Foundation, based on good traditions and humane principles of the Turkmen people, should be carried out in accordance with the spirit of the times and have a long-term perspective.
