Turkmen chess player Saparmyrat Atabayev won a convincing victory in the Futures category at the II International Chess Tournament "Al-Biruni", which was held from February 2 to 12 in Tashkent.

Following nine rounds, Atabayev showed the best result among ten participants in his category, ahead of all rivals. For his victory, the Turkmen athlete was awarded the tournament cup and a cash prize of 3500 USD.
