The Government of the Russian Federation has expanded the list of foreign higher educational institutions whose diplomas are automatically recognized in Russia. The updated list is available on the official legal information portal, writes gazeta.ru.
The updated list now includes 384 educational and scientific institutions from 36 countries. At the end of January, the list was replenished with 14 new universities, including educational institutions from Australia, Egypt, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Malaysia, UAE, USA, Czech Republic and Iran.
According to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, expanding the list is aimed at attracting foreign students and highly qualified specialists to the country, Kommersant reports. When compiling the list, the positions of universities in international rankings were taken into account - the list included universities that were in the top 500 of at least three authoritative world rankings for the previous year.
Graduates of these educational institutions will not need to undergo an additional procedure to confirm their diplomas when finding employment or continuing their studies in Russia.
