President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in which he expressed high appreciation for his personal contribution to the development of Kazakh-Turkmen relations and strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan, TDH reports.

In the letter, Tokayev noted the high level and positive dynamics of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, developing in the spirit of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership. The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that thanks to the efforts of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan has become an example of responsible partnership, promoting trust and interaction in the region and beyond.

Tokayev paid special attention to Turkmenistan’s initiatives within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared by the UN General Assembly at the suggestion of Turkmenistan. He noted that these initiatives are acquiring exceptional significance in the context of growing global challenges and remind the world community of the importance of strengthening peace, trust and solidarity.

The President of Kazakhstan expressed readiness to continue supporting Turkmenistan in achieving noble goals aimed at ensuring sustainable and secure development of the region.
