Ombudsman of Turkmenistan Yazdursun Gurbannazarova held online talks with Matilda Bogner, Regional Representative of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central Asia, and Miranda Fayerman, an expert of the International Labor Organization.
As reported by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the parties discussed the results of the activities of the Office of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan for the year. They also considered priority areas of work for the next year within the framework of the Roadmap for Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the International Labor Organization for 2024-2025.
Having emphasized that positive results have been achieved in the work of the Office of the Ombudsman in the field of human rights protection in cooperation with the OHCHR and the ILO, the parties noted that in the future it is planned to carry out more effective activities to raise public awareness of human rights issues, as well as to prevent their violation and restore violated rights.
