This year, Oguz han University of Engineering and Technology moved up 104 positions in the UI GreenMetric World University rankings to take 328th place. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

Let us remind that the university ranked 432nd in 2023.

This year, the university scored 7 400 points, which consisted of the following indicators

Infrastructure and buildings: 1 200 points

Energy and climate change: 1 475 points

Waste management: 1 125 points

Water management: 750 points

Green transport: 1 475 points

Education and research: 1 375 points.

The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is a ranking of universities around the world that assesses how well educational institutions adhere to the principles of sustainable development. The ranking has been compiled by the University of Indonesia since 2010, in collaboration with the Ministry of Nature and Environment and the Ministry of Education and Science of Indonesia.

The assessment is based on three main components - environmental, economic and social value. It includes criteria such as conditions and infrastructure, energy and climate change, education, research and others.

The ranking reflects the efforts made by universities to implement environmentally friendly and sustainable strategies and programs.

The advancement of positions in this ranking of the Turkmen university demonstrates a responsible approach to the issues of achieving sustainable development goals and environmental safety.
