President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev and velayat hakims, where they discussed the progress of seasonal field work and the implementation of the tasks of the National Rural Program, TDH reports.

At the meeting, T. Atahalliyev reported on the pace of seasonal work in the agricultural sector. As part of agricultural campaigns, measures are being taken to harvest cotton to the last boll, care for wheat fields, including vegetation irrigation and fertilization with mineral fertilizers, as well as prepare the land for sowing cotton next year. Repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery has also begun.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of holding seasonal agricultural campaigns and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to monitor the implementation of the tasks set.

The head of state also ordered to take the necessary measures to harvest cotton to the last boll, strictly control the work on caring for wheat, in particular, vegetation irrigation and fertilizing with mineral fertilizers according to agrotechnical terms, and also to timely treat the fields against weeds in order to obtain a rich harvest.

Along with this, it was ordered to make timely payments to cotton producers.
