A large-scale environmental campaign was held in Turkmenistan, during which 539,185 trees of various species were planted. The event was held with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as representatives of the government, military and law enforcement agencies, diplomatic missions and the public, TDH reports.
During the campaign, measures were also taken to care for the more than 2 million 67 thousand 630 trees that had been planted earlier.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of systematic tree planting to improve the environmental situation and instructed to ensure constant monitoring of the implementation of environmental protection measures.
