On November 4, the IV Congress of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan took place in Ashgabat.

As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, numerous delegates of the congress – representatives of the agricultural sector – came to Ashgabat from all regions of the country, the city of Arkadag on this occasion. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, heads of public organizations, ministries and industry departments, the media, and creative figures also took part in the work of the forum.

During the forum, the priority tasks facing this political organization in the context of implementing large-scale state socio-economic programs were discussed.

Within the framework of the forum agenda, a report was heard from the Chairman of the Central Council of the Agrarian Party of Turkmenistan, and organizational issues were considered.

The special significance of the state support provided was noted, which is expressed in large investments directed at technical re-equipment and modernization of the entire production infrastructure of the agro-industrial complex, development of the chemical industry, providing villagers with mineral fertilizers. Modern tractors, combines, seeders and other equipment are purchased for the needs of the agricultural sector.

As noted, an important step towards further development of the food segment of the national economy and meeting the population's demand for food products was the adoption of state programs for the production of import-substituting products and increasing the volume of export products. In this context, it was emphasized that the successes achieved in this area were recognized by the UN, in particular, the country was awarded a special award by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN for achievements in ensuring food security.
