The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov shared a new photo of his faithful four-legged friend, a Turkmen alabay named Akdost. In the photo, the dog is lying on a sandy shore.
Akdost, or Akdus (“White Friend” in Tatar), was presented to Minnikhanov by the President of the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Association and the International Association of Turkmen Alabai, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in 2021. At that time, the dog was still a puppy, and today he has grown into a real handsome alabai.
It Is worth noting that earlier this year, Akdus became the champion of Russia according to the Russian Cynological Federation in the nomination "Central Asian Shepherd Dog”. The head of Tatarstan has previously shared photos of his pet on social networks.
Under the latest photos, Minnikhanov published a quatrain by the veteran of Tatar children’s literature, Bari Rakhmat, which speaks of nostalgia for the passing summer.
