As part of the working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Islamic Republic of Iran, bilateral meetings of members of the official delegation of Turkmenistan were held. This was stated in the TDH report.

During the meetings, issues of further development of relations in such areas as the fuel and energy complex (FEC), electric power industry, transport and communications, as well as through customs authorities were discussed.

It was noted with satisfaction that interstate relations between Turkmenistan and Iran are at a high level, based on mutual respect and equality.

The members of the delegation emphasized the interest of state and business structures of both countries in further development of fruitful cooperation and expressed confidence that the agreements reached will be implemented in the near future.
