For the Ashgabat audience, who actively supported the event, new Russian films "One Hundred Years Ago" (2024) and "By the Pike's Command" (2023) were shown, SNG.Today reports.
The annual "Cinema Night" event is held in the Russian Federation in honor of Russian Cinema Day, celebrated on August 27. This year, the event was held for the first time at the international level and covered such countries as Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ethiopia.
Before the screenings, the audience was shown a video message from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova.
"Over the past nine years, the event has become a real family holiday. Concerts, thematic excursions, quizzes and master classes are held in many cities," the minister noted.
O. Lyubimova emphasized that in all countries where the event is taking place, film screenings are available to the widest possible audience.
