At an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, held on July 12, the results of work for the first half of this year were summed up. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country’s construction sector has achieved one of the highest GDP growth rates – 9.3 percent, TDH reports.

In accordance with the Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and the Investment Program for 2024, in January-June the country spent capital investments in the amount of 15 billion 420 million manats, which is 21 percent higher than the same period last year.

In the first half of the year, new enterprises were created, industrial facilities and residential buildings with a total area of 454 thousand square meters were put into operation.

It should be noted that based on the results of six months of 2024, the Ministry of Construction and Architecture fulfilled the plan by 107.8 percent, and the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production produced products and carried out work worth 880 million manats.
