Today the city of Arkadag celebrates its first anniversary of its opening. On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the residents of the city and all Turkmen citizens.

I am confident that the great celebration and holiday that unfolded on the occasion of the anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag will further strengthen our unity and cohesion in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, and will increase pride in impressive achievements”, - the Message says.

The city of Arkadag, built in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, is a “smart” city based on innovative technologies, a digital system, and advanced information and communication technologies. Here they attach special importance to environmental well-being and the relationship between nature and humans. A clear indication of this is the awarding of a certificate of accession to the city of Arkadag to the project “Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the region of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe”.

“With the construction of the city of Arkadag, thousands of our compatriots are provided with new jobs, comfortable housing with all amenities. State support for every person and family in our country is the main principle of our implemented policy”, - the President noted.
