Football players of the national team of Turkmenistan will begin preparations for the June games of the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Group “E” against the national teams of Uzbekistan (June 6, Tashkent) and Hong Kong (June 11, Ashgabat).
On May 26, the team will go to a training camp in Antalya, Turkey, where they will stay until June 4, Salamnews reports.
On June 6 in Tashkent, Mergen Orazov’s team will meet with the team of Uzbekistan. This meeting will take place on June 6 at the Bunyodkor stadium and will begin at 19:30 Ashgabat time.
After the game in Uzbekistan, the Turkmen team will return to Ashgabat, where on June 11 they will host Hong Kong in the final match of the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament.
At the moment, Iran and Uzbekistan are in the lead in Group E, with 10 points each. Turkmenistan and Hong Kong take 3-4 places, having one point each.
The final composition of the Turkmenistan national team for the upcoming matches will be announced in the coming days.
