On the eve of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russian and foreign diplomats accredited in the Astrakhan region laid flowers at the “Eternal Flame of Glory” memorial in the Brotherly Garden of Astrakhan. The Turkmen diplomatic mission in Astrakhan reported this.
The ceremony was led by employees of the Russian Foreign Ministry representative office in the region. They were joined by the Consul of Turkmenistan Gadam Ilamanov, as well as colleagues from the diplomatic missions of Iran and Kazakhstan operating in Astrakhan. The joint delegation of the diplomatic corps paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region also took part in the event. In their parting words, they emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on from generation to generation as a guarantee of a peaceful future.
