All 15 living billionaires under 30 did not earn their wealth but inherited it, according to a new study. This is the start of the “Great Wealth Transfer,” in which more than 1000 ultra-wealthy individuals will pass on 5,2 trillion USD to their heirs over 20 years. This was reported by mk.ru.

The number of billionaires in the world has now reached a record level (2781), and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.
Among the heirs:

Firoz and Zahan Mistry (27 and 25): Inherited shares in Tata Sons (Jaguar Land Rover) after the death of their father, 4,9 billion USD.

Children of Leonardo Del Vecchio (28, 22 and 19 years old): inherited shares in Luxottica (Ray-Ban, Oakley) after the death of their father, 4,7 billion USD each.

Livia Voight (19): Youngest billionaire, 1,1 billion USD thanks to shares of WEG Industries inherited from her grandfather.

Bernard Arnault, the majority owner of LVMH (the luxury goods manufacturer), remains the richest man on the planet. Arnault, 75, recently helped his children take key positions in the company, thereby strengthening his influence in the empire. His fortune is estimated at 233 billion USD, up 10% from last year.

Among other older billionaires, it is worth noting Charles Koch, the eldest of the American billionaire industrialist brothers, he is 88 years old. Phil Knight, billionaire and co-founder of Nike, is slightly younger at 86.

One of the youngest billionaires to create their wealth rather than inherit it is 31 years old Ben Francis, the British founder of the sports brand Gymshark. His fortune is estimated at 1,3 billion USD.
