1. A large-scale cultural and educational event “Turkmenistan. The great legacy of Magtymguly Fragi” was held in St. Petersburg. The event was held in the Marble Hall of the Russian Ethnographic Museum. The cultural event was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi on the eve of the opening of his monument in the center of St. Petersburg.

2. Meetings between Turkmen businessmen and representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan with the World Bank delegation, which arrived in the country on a working visit, were held in Ashgabat. 3. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan selected the winner of the university stage of the national beauty contest “Talyp gozeli-2024”. Students from the faculties of international relations, international law, international economic relations and international journalism took part in the competition. As a result of the competition, the winner was Leyli Muradova, a first-year student at the Faculty of International Journalism.

4. The delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Education Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva, within the framework of a working visit to Doha, took part in a number of meetings on cooperation in the field of education with Qatari colleagues. The head of the Turkmen delegation met with the head of the higher education department of the Qatar Foundation, Francisco Marmolejo, the head of the higher and postgraduate education department of the organization, Abir Al Khalifa, and the director of the Qatar National Library, Hamad Al Kawari. At the meetings, specific projects of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and science were discussed, including holding joint conferences, internships and business trips.

5. From February 18 to 25, the International English Language Olympiad among schoolchildren was held in Kuala Lumpur. This year, more than 1000 schoolchildren from 50 countries took part in it, competing in 6 disciplines in three age groups. The Turkmenistan national team, consisting of 15 gifted schoolchildren, demonstrated excellent knowledge and skills in English, winning 10 Grand Prix medals, 6 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals.

6. Lenovo has unveiled a prototype ThinkBook laptop with a translucent screen. Its main feature is the 17,3-inch MicroLED display, which becomes completely transparent when displaying black. Instead of a keyboard, a second transparent touchpad is used. Lenovo positions the ThinkBook as a tool for artists who don't need to take their eyes off nature, and the touchpad can be used as a graphics tablet.

7. 93 years old Ruth Gottesman, the widow of a Wall Street financier, donated 1 billion USD to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. The donation will be used to cover the cost of tuition for all future students. This is one of the largest charitable donations in US history to an educational institution, and most likely the largest to a medical school.Gottesman received her fortune from her late husband David. He was a protégé of Warren Buffett.

8. The men's and women's basketball teams of Turkmenistan are undergoing training camps in Lithuania. Teams are preparing for upcoming international tournaments. Turkmenistan national teams of different ages are attending training camps in the Lithuanian city of Palanga. The junior women's team under 18 is preparing for the world championship. The U23 men's and women's national teams are training ahead of the Nations League. After the training camp, the men's team will go to the tournament in Amsterdam, which will be held from February 29 to March 10.
