In 2024, the Türkmendemirýollary Agency (“Turkmenistan Railways”) provides the following discounts for transit destinations through the port of Turkmenbashy:

• A 40% discount is provided on sugar raw materials and cake passing through the port of Turkmenbashy to the Farap/Takhiatash border point on the Turkmen-Uzbek border.
• A discount of 30% is provided on private and leased wagons, as well as 20% on inventory wagons transporting other types of products (except for aluminum, alumina and oil products transported in barrels) through the port of Turkmenbashy to the Farap/Takhiatash border point.
• A 40% discount is provided on the transit routes Port Turkmenbashy 1 - Imamnazar in both directions and Port Turkmenbashy 1 - Passage 161 in both directions.
• A special discount of 50% is provided on all routes (Port Turkmenbashy 1 - Imamnazar in both directions and Port Turkmenbashy 1 - Passage 161 in both directions) when performing loading and unloading operations in the port of Turkmenbashy (regardless of the ownership of the wagons).

This information was announced during a recent round table on the role of the Turkmenbashy International Seaport in transit traffic, according to the website of the “Turkmendenizderyayollary” Agency.
