An event dedicated to the Chinese New Year was held in Ashgabat at the “Yyldyz” hotel.
The event, which was held in a hybrid format, was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of the PRC in Central Asia, as well as invited guests, reports the IIC.
Wang Shuanghui, an expert on Chinese history and culture, told the audience about the history of the holiday. Participants actively asked the speaker questions related to the traditions and customs of the Chinese New Year.
This year, Chinese New Year will begin on February 10 and end with the Lantern Festival on the 15th day. Most Chinese families will gather for their annual reunion dinner.
