Nora Al Matrooshi, a mechanical engineer from the United Arab Emirates, will complete her NASA training in March 2024. She will become the first female astronaut from the UAE and will be accepted to participate in space missions, including flights to the International Space Station and the “Artemis” lunar project. Al Matrooshi began training at the Johnson Space Center in 2021. During this time, she completed survival courses, flight training, space suit development, as well as training in geology and spacewalks.
