In Lebap velayat, it is planned to sow 130 thousand hectares with cotton this year.
As the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, work is currently ongoing to collect rinsing water and drain land in cotton planting areas.
Land fertilization is also underway in the region - more than 19 thousand tons of phosphate fertilizers have already been applied to 95 thousand hectares.
Farms that will plant cotton this season are fully provided with the necessary phosphorus fertilizers, the source notes.
