Turkmenistan is preparing bills aimed at strengthening the legal framework for protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova announced this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH writes.

According to her, draft laws are currently being prepared to further strengthen the legal framework for ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, improve civil law relations, energy saving and efficient use of energy, and determine the legal framework for hydrometeorological activities.

At the same time, the necessary changes and additions are being made to the Family and Civil Procedure Codes, and the provisions of a number of laws are being brought into line with the requirements of the time.

Issues of international cooperation were also discussed at the Government meeting. In particular, Turkmenistan is increasing interaction with foreign states and international organizations. Recently, a number of meetings was held with the ambassadors of China, Turkey and Switzerland.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of further work to improve national legislation.
