A meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Toyly Komekov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Edmondo Cirielli was held in Rome.
The importance of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Italy in November 2019 for expanding bilateral relations was noted at the meeting. Issues of developing cooperation in areas on which agreements were reached between the leaders of the two countries were discussed.
In addition, further steps were considered to strengthen interaction within international organizations and deepen relations in the scientific, cultural, trade and economic spheres.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in particular, they discussed holding joint events and meetings of heads of relevant departments, organizing cultural events, strengthening the legal framework and holding inter-MFA consultations.
