Today, the Ashgabat Fashion House hosted the grand opening of the first day of fashion shows of national Turkmen clothing, timed to coincide with the inclusion of the Turkmen capital in the UNESCO network of creative cities.

Hind Joudar, President of the Oriental Fashion Show Association, is participating as the guest of honor at the event, reports MIC.

As part of the opening, an exhibition of handicrafts from the creative association “Design Plus” was organized.

On the first day, the collection of the Ashgabat Fashion House was shown. Graceful models demonstrated the beauty and uniqueness of Turkmen national dresses. Each outfit was a harmony of rich fabrics combined with authentic hand embroidery by Turkmen craftswomen.

Participation in the show of children representing national costumes emphasized the importance of passing on traditions and cultural heritage to the younger generation.

Musical compositions decorated the event, giving it a lyrical direction.

Tomorrow the fashion forum will continue, the baton of shows will be passed to the Mähirli Zenan Fashion House.

A series of events was organized by the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, the Ashgabat Fashion House and the city administration.
