The International Kurash Federation (IKA) recognized the World Championship in Ashgabat as the best competition of the outgoing year. The press service of the organization reported this.
“The XIV World Kurash Championship, held in Ashgabat from November 23 to 28, was one of the best championships in the history of world championships in this type of wrestling. More than 500 people from about 50 countries took part in the competition. The government of Turkmenistan has made every effort to organize and conduct the tournament at the highest level,” the statement says.
Let us remind you that following a tense struggle, the Turkmenistan national team showed an excellent result, winning the largest number of awards. Turkmen athletes have 15 medals: 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
