The TasteAtlas service has published a fresh ranking of the 100 best cuisines in the world. It was compiled based on more than 395 thousand dish ratings and more than 115 thousand food ratings left by service users.
Italy, the birthplace of pizza, pasta and gelato, took first place. Japan was in second place, and Greece was in third place. The top ten also included Portugal, China, Indonesia, Mexico, France, Spain and Peru.
Among the countries of Central Asia, the top included Uzbekistan (76th place), Kazakhstan (90th place) and Kyrgyzstan (92nd place). Russian cuisine is in 41st position in the ranking, and Turkish cuisine is in 15th position.
