1. On December 11, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. At the meeting, personnel decisions were made, a number of documents were signed and the results of foreign policy activities in 2023 were discussed.
3. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed decrees pardoning 302 persons convicted of crimes, but who regret what they did and sincerely repent of it. The corresponding decisions were made in honor of a major holiday - International Neutrality Day.
4. Turkmen Airlines will resume regular passenger flights on the Ashgabat – Moscow – Ashgabat route from December 15. You can purchase air tickets for flights on the Turkmenistan airlines website, from the general agent of Turkmen airlines in Russia, as well as at sales offices in Turkmenistan. Starting from January 2024, flights will be operated regularly – 4 times a week in each direction. Planes will depart from Ashgabat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and from Moscow on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
5. On Tuesday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Neutrality Monument on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality and the 28th anniversary of the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Resolution on the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. On this day, national celebrations dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality were held in all regions of the country.

7. Tangerines contain a lot of vitamin C and are a favorite fruit during the New Year holidays. Many people remove the white veins between the skin and the flesh. Experts explained why this should not be done. Although the veins in tangerines have a bitter taste, they are actually very healthy. The intermediate layer contains many vitamins and so-called flavonoids. Secondary plant substances have an antioxidant effect and strengthen the immune system. Flavonoids may prevent cardiovascular disease, and some have antibacterial or antiviral effects.
8. A Wi-Fi router is a finely tuned device that is influenced by various factors, including household appliances and interior items. On the eve of the New Year, experts named two types of New Year's decorations that can negatively affect Wi-Fi performance. Garlands create a weak electromagnetic field around themselves, which can affect the propagation of radio waves from the router. This leads to signal degradation and data transfer speed. The more garlands in the house, the higher the likelihood of problems. Tinsel, especially silver or gold, acts as a mirror for radio waves, reflecting and scattering them. As a result, the Wi-Fi signal will be weaker. Shiny Christmas balls also play a similar role. Experts recommend placing garlands and tinsel away from the Wi-Fi router. Also, do not place a decorated Christmas tree in front of the router.

9. Weightlifter Shahzadbek Matyakubov from Turkmenistan won a gold medal at the Grand Prix tournament in Doha. The competition is a qualifier for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The Turkmen weightlifter achieved this success in the weight category up to 96 kg. In total, Matyakubov gained 371 kg – 167 in the snatch and 204 in the clean and jerk. The result brought the athlete two gold medals and one silver. It is worth noting that this is already the third success of Turkmen weightlifters at the tournament in Qatar. Previously, Bunyad Rashidov and Gaygysyz Torayev became bronze medalists of the Grand Prix.
10. In Ashgabat, at the “Nisa” stadium, the rescheduled match of the 24th round of the Turkmenistan football championship was held, in which “Ahal” beat “Kopetdag” with a score of 3:1. Thanks to this victory and the points scored, Serdar Geldiyev's team reduced the gap from third place to two points, with a game in hand.
11. “Al-Ittihad” players beat New Zealand's “Auckland City” 3-0 in the first round match of the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia. One of the goals for the Saudi team was scored by French forward Karim Benzema. “Al-Ittihad” will play against Egyptian “Al-Ahly” in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The winner of the match will meet the Brazilian “Fluminense” in the semi-finals.
