Farmers in Lebap velayat this year harvested more than 12 680 tons of winter crops from 900 hectares of land and 8 563 tons of sorghum from 475 hectares.

The velayat also produced 4 200 tons of potatoes and 5 310 tons of carrots. According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the prerequisites for a rich harvest of vegetables and potatoes in the region were created thanks to the selection of high-yielding varieties of seeds suitable for the soil and weather conditions of the velayat, and the correct use of high-performance equipment.
