Masters from Turkmenistan performed with great success at the World Hairdressing Championships, which took place in the Russian city of Sochi on November 21-23.
About a dozen Turkmen hairdressers shared the prizes. Masters Maksat Ovekov and Nurana Palvanova were awarded first place in the “Fashionable Women’s Hairstyle Category” category.
As part of the competition, participants had to do a hairstyle for a mannequin within the allotted time (from 35 to 40 minutes). Hairstyles had to belong to one of three types - daytime, evening or wedding.
The World Championship brought together hairdressing masters from 26 countries on one site. Turkmenistan was represented by more than fifteen professionals.
The mentor of the Turkmen team was the world champion in hairdressing, international class hairdresser Jemshit Mavlyanov. As part of the championship, he also gave master classes, where he shared his wealth of experience and new cutting and styling techniques.
