Today in Ashgabat, in the assembly hall of the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, the opening ceremony of the Turkish Culture Days was held.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Nursahet Shirimov, Ambassador of Turkey to Turkmenistan and Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkey Nadir Alpaslan made speeches.
The speakers noted the dynamics in relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey, especially noticeable in the humanitarian and cultural aspect. In this regard, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey presented an extensive program of this cultural event, which is being held in Ashgabat and Turkmenabat. Events include a concert, film screenings, an exhibition of Turkish drawings using the ebru technique, a performance of traditional Turkish shadow theater for children, an exhibition “Turkish Atlas” and a show of national costumes.
As part of the opening ceremony, a master class was held from the master of Ebru art, artist Hikmet Barutchugil, which we will talk about in a separate article.
