President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed to the Turkish side to create a Joint Investment Fund and a Joint Working Group on Investments, speaking at the opening of the Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara, TDH reports.
Turkmenistan is interested in building up investment partnerships with foreign countries to attract foreign capital to large energy and infrastructure projects, the head of the Turkmen state emphasized. The joint investment fund and working group will provide additional opportunities for cooperation in this area.
The President of Turkmenistan also called it acceptable to consider the issue of opening branches of leading Turkish banks in Turkmenistan. This will provide financial support for the activities of Turkish investors and businesses in the country, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
