The Iraqi delegation led by the country's Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel will take part in the upcoming international conference and exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023” (OGT-2023). The organizers of the event reported this.
The Iraqi minister will speak at the plenary session of the forum, where he will discuss the mutually beneficial partnership between the two states and the prospects for further cooperation.
The OGT-2023 conference and exhibition, scheduled for October 25-27, will be an excellent platform for discussing next steps after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Turkmengas State Concern and the Ministry of Electricity of the Republic of Iraq.
Let us recall that in early October, the Turkmengas State Concern and the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity agreed on the annual supply of 10 billion cubic meters of Turkmen natural gas to Iraq under the SWAP scheme through the territory of Iran.
